About two weeks ago, the weekday Happy Hour at Polekatz changed hours to 17:00-20:00. It was previously 16:00-19:00. Bottles of beer also got even cheaper during Happy Hour. They are now only $2 (Budweiser, Bud Light, Coors Light, Stella Artois, Corona, Modelo). Topless dances are $10, and nude dances are $20 during the Happy Hours. Cover is $10 after 19:00, and it is free before 19:00. Outside of Happy Hour, bottles of beer are $5, topless lap dances are $20, and nude lap dances are $30. Sodas are $4, and bottled water is $5, no matter the time of day.

I’ve concluded the best time to visit this club is during the weekday Happy Hours. The main reasons are that beers are dirt cheap, lap dances are cheaper, you can see dancers from both day and night shift, and you don’t have to worry about your table getting stolen if you leave it to go smoke or take a piss due to a lesser crowd. Furthermore, the bouncer that works the day shift on weekdays is more laid-back than some of the bouncers that work the night shift. The night bouncers seem to take over about 19:00. A couple of the black bouncers on night shift seem to take pleasure in going out of their way to bust your balls for stuff like touching dancers’ breasts and not having both your feet on the floor during a lap dance. Friday and Saturday nights have a great party atmosphere and the greatest numbers of dancers working (around 70-80), but the club becomes standing room only and draws in too many non-spenders and groups of guys who just want to drink and gape. On busy nights, the club will offer two-for-one lap dances after a feature, which is basically every dancer coming up on stage while the song “Bring Em Out” by T.I. plays.

The stage show is a good presentation of the dancers available, but there is not a heavy flow of stage tipping like many clubs around the United States. The two main reasons for that would be: (1) stage contact is nonexistent and (2) the stages are an uncomfortable four and half feet off the ground. Some dancers do not go up on stage. Most of those who do not dance on the stage seem to be veteran dancers. Despite Polekatz being a nude club, dancers seem to just strip down to topless on stage. Some dancers don’t remove any clothing. Perhaps dancers are only motivated to strip when there are tips being tossed on stage.
