first time visit

On a recent swing thru Texas I had the opportunity to visit this and several other clubs for the first time. I had read about The Lodge on TUSCL and elsewhere and, since it appeared couple friendly, and since my wife often accompanies me on visits, I had wanted to check it out for sometime.

The Lodge model seems to be quite different from many of the place I/we have visited in the past in that they seem to cater to not just the PL in the population but rather a much broader cross section of people. The night I was there there were very close to equal numbers of male and female customers.

I paid a $10 cover I think at about 6 pm and entered a packed front room. The majority of tables were all female guests. There was a small but serviceable buffet. I did not order a drink so no idea what that cost. There are three other rooms two downstairs and one upstairs, and a smoking patio on the second floor. Each room had its own feel as far as quietness or party atmosphere and there were active stages in the two largest rooms.
