Staple Go-Go
Had dinner at Lancer's in the Iron bound. This spot has a close noticeable manufacturing sector on Christie St. and surrounded by many small go-go bars.
Took my chance and went to George & I since it was closer to the turnpike entrance. I was surprised to find a bouncer on the outside sitting on a plastic chair, he just asked for ID. I was skeptical at first and refused to hand over my ID as most bouncers I have encountered at these places are inside the entrance. I figure if all I have to do to pretend to be a bouncer is bring a plastic chair then I can do it too. He let me pass once I held it for him to see. On a side note that job must suck during winter time if he is forced to stay outside.
Upon entering I realized one of the reasons why the bouncer stays outside is because the inside had limited real estate. It is perhaps the smallest bar I have ever been to.
There were 3 women working including the bartender and two patrons since it was still early. Maria was either a Portugese or Brazilian (know since they can communicate well in Spanish but have THAT accent.) that had very obvious bolt ons and tried to soft pressure me into buying her a drink. I didn't realize that lady drinks were $12 each until I handed a 20 and got back 2 for both of our drinks. That wasn't a real problem but I noticed when the other woman came next to me I saw Maria attempt to mask drinking the beer. Neither really offered anything like a dance other than some bar side grabs and were satisfied with the dollar tips and their attempts at having me continue buying lady drinks. There was no real reason for me to return to this spot as nothing was really memorable. Perhaps it changes later on in the night but I will definitely not repeat.
