Late Wednesday night visit: high dancer quality

My wife’s out of town and I’ve been binging on strip clubs this last week. I visited Diamond Cabaret spur-of-the-moment at 11 PM on a Wednesday night and stayed about two hours.

Just for reference, I’ve been living in suburbs near Denver since 2006 and come into town about once a week (but very rarely late at night). If you’re visiting Denver, this place is easy to find and is near the Denver Central Business District. Take the Colfax exit east off the I25, turn left at the courthouse and you are there. It’s near three colleges (Metro State, CC of Denver, and CU Denver) and there are beautiful college-aged girls everywhere if you come to this area in the daytime. Since this was a late-night visit, I did valet parking and tipped the valet $10. If you’re coming in the afternoon or early evening, you might consider taking the light-rail and getting off at Colfax at Auraria Staion, which is less than ½ mile from the club. Light rail is only $5.20 for a day pass and a nice option without dealing with traffic (but closes down about 9:30PM).

The club itself has 4 large circular granite stages and all 4 were active this evening. Lighting is fairly dark, which helped to hide the cheesy red-swirl carpeting. There are TV’s everywhere (about 20) playing a sports channel. Nice, large, fish aquarium on one of the walls. Two bars, only one active, and I ordered a glass of wine for $12.50 (yes I’m the only guy who orders wine in a strip club). Lap dance area on second floor. Subscription-oriented VIP room against one wall. There used to be a restaurant on the first floor which closed down about a month ago; it will be used for something else, but it’s use is up in the air. Diamond Cabaret After Hours also takes place upstairs and runs till 4AM on thurs->Sat (but this was a wed night). Overall, I think Tequila Willie’s over in Glendale CO has nicer décor.
