After about 5 hours of driving...
After about 5 hours of driving and covering 200 miles of U.S. highways from Memphis, I finally reached the first SC on this road trip. I arrived at the Boobie Blungalow Gentleman's Club (listed as Bungalow Club). It is located at exit 6 off I-65 (St. Rte. 273 - Bryson Rd) on the east side of the interstate. It has a partially paved parking lot for about 20 cars which is corraled inside a fenced in area, with plenty of gravel parking for truckers. Right above the club are huge lighted signs reading "show girls" and "go-go club". Very visible from the interstate. I entered the club and paid my $5 cover. The bar and restrooms were located directly to the left and the stage straight ahead against the back wall, raise about 4 feet from the floor. About 15 tables with cushioned hard-backed chairs scattered around the club. The VIP area is located to the left in a seperate room with a pool table, and consist of 4 open-ended lattice-topped booths. There were about 15 patrons, and 6 dancers, ranging from 5 to 8 in appearance. The dancers danced 2 song sets, first one with full outfits on, second one topless. Ethinticity was mixed. I sat at a table and ordered a $2 longneck. No pressure from dancers for LDs. A few minutes later, Dixie (7), about 30 years old with a little hang in the boobie department, joined me at my table. Upon the DJ calling her to the stage, I joined her there and tipped several dollars during her 2 song tenure. Afterward, went back to my table and DJ announced $1 laps. The dancers went from table to table giving about 30 second laps for the buck. Afterward, the DJ announced 2 for 1s for $20. I opted and Dixie & I went to the VIP area. The 4 booths filled up quite readily. During the two songs, I noticed security walking back and forth, so the dancers had to hold back on what they really wanted to do and only provided mild grinding and customers had to have hands off. After the second song, I gave Dixie $20 plus a $5 tip for her attempt to please, had security not been there. Upon exiting the club at 10:35PM, I noticed a display case on my right, displaying T-shirts for sale. Most shirts advertised "Big Bill's Bungalow" emblazzened on them. I gave this club a 6 rating and it's worth a stop off for a cold beer if traveling I-65. I headed toward north to exit 22 to cover two more clubs.
