It had been months since I'd been to Scarlet but I had always liked it. This time it was dead at 2pm. Only two dancers on duty, one black and one white. Had one PD with each and neither was very good.
In chatting with one of the dancers, she told me they now open at 11am. They used to be one of two clubs that opened at 9am and they used to be pretty busy between 9 and noon. Not this day. There were some big Rose Festival events going on that day and the weather had just taken a turn for the worse but I'd be surprised if those events made a difference. I had just come from another club and it, too, was unusually dead, so maybe it was just the day. I sure hope so because I really used to like this place.
I don't have anything to back it up but I got the feeling that maybe the management has changed.
