Food and a Show
First visit in several months was a Saturday night around 9 p.m., and nothing except a few new dancers has changed. The place still has the best food of any Indianapolis-area club, which was my primary motivation this night - because why not watch ladies dance topless while eating dinner? I commonly order the grilled chicken meal with your choice of sauces; I find their BBQ version a little too strong, so I went with teriyaki this time. You get a full meal of the meat, breadstick, and two sides (their fries aren't anything special, but I highly recommend the side salad even as a non-salad person) for under $9, when you'd probably pay $12 or more for the same food at a place like Applebe's, and unlike most places they give you a whole hutch of condiments with the meal. Their burgers and steaks are pretty good, too, and the kitchen is open well past midnight.
Dancers also still has one of the hottest waitresses I've ever seen at a club, a petite blonde who would probably be the club's star if she danced but I've (sadly) never seen her do so. Like most places, the quality of the dancers varies, but this night they had a blonde who's given me good dances in the past but had been on hiatus for a few months and a very petite, genuinely friendly Asian girl who said that she normally worked days but was starting to take on some night shifts. I ended up getting some quality private dancers from the latter, and she wasn't shy about massaging my crotch with her foot; not normally my thing, but she made it work. Pretty good conversationalist, too, and she had a penchant for frequently changing outfits; I saw her in four different ones over a span of about 3 hours. Spacing on her name, but she was the only Asian dancer that night. Those who prefer more curvaceous dancers would have had little problem finding one who suited their tastes, and the club switching from a 2-stage to 3-stage rotation around 10:30 definitely helped on that.
I've heard stories about Dancers having been trashy a few years back, but these days it's a competently-run club with better lighting than most and one of the best floor layouts of any place I've been anywhere. Maybe not the most convenient place to get to, but with area-standard pricing and full-length songs for dances it currently competes with Brad's Brass Flamingo for the best club in central Indiana in my book.
