Dancer review

Hiring process:

The hiring experience was mostly positive. I called the number on the website and was referred to an answering service to talk about the process of hiring new dancers. They call it an audition but did not offer any more information except to show up during the audition time slots. The woman I spoke to was kind and offered to give my number to the hiring manager/house mom. She told me the house mom would contact me to set up an exact time. A few hours later I received a text from the house mom asking when I would like to come in. I told her I’d like to come in the following day at seven pm, the earliest I could audition. She told me to bring an outfit and heels, nothing else. The house mom was friendly and encouraging and I took this as a very good sign for the professionalism of the company.

The next day I arrived at seven and spoke to the manager, telling him I was there for my audition. He said the house mom was not coming in until nine that night, which I found odd considering we had agreed to meet at seven. He told me to wait while he contacted her. I waited about an hour in the club while he tried to reach her. At around eight he came back, gave me a bottle of water, and told me I should change into my outfit and heels. I did and he took pictures to send to the house mom. I waited until about nine for her approval. Once approved, the manager said I could start that night if I wanted. I came prepared and decided to work.
