Always a good bet
Bucks is a medium sized club with a small VIP area, 2 bars, about a dozen cabanas, and five stages, of which at least three are always going. It’s a bit loud but not too overwhelming, dark enough, and not smokey anymore since banned by the City. Dancers cover every spectrum you can think of, and I’ve rarely failed to find what I was looking for in several years of very regular visits. Drinks are reasonably priced from about three bucks for cheap beer during the week, up to about $8 or $10 for some of the better liquors.
Dancers are friendly, mostly willing talk a while, and frequently willing to play quite a bit in the VIP room. It is uncomfortably public back there when busy, but on a slow day you can get away with anything. It’s definitely a high-mileage, high touch environment, as long as you play it cool and don’t make the girls nervous. VIP is $50/hour, $100/night, or $2k/year (negotiable). Don’t be a weirdo, be willing to spend $150-$250, and ye shall find what ye seek. Never pay in advance. None of these girls really expect it.
Managers are laid back, the GM is a great guy. Atmosphere during the day is much quieter and calmer. It’s a zoo at peak hours, and there will be no play then. You’ll get the standard “wanna dance?” approach when they’re busy. The girls are generally friendly and building relationships and trust will go a long way. That being said, if you walk in there your first time on an afternoon or early evening with $200, decent game, and a little SC wisdom, you are good to go.
