Cafe Cleopatra on a public holiday afternoon

I was visiting Montreal for work and the only spare time I had was a Monday afternoon. This happened to be a public holiday so I figured the club may be a bit busier than a regular week day afternoon. Nope!

The guy on the door was very friendly and welcoming -- the cover was a "donation", I gave $10 which seemed acceptable.

Walking in the club was very dark in contrast to the bright sunshine outside. It took a while to adjust my eyes. I found a seat near the stage and took around. There were about 5 guys, the youngest being around 55. They all seemed like they were regulars and mostly there to drink and play the slot machines.
