Throwback to the Cabaret Royale Days

I thought about this club the other day when I saw a reviewer compare another club to the old Cabaret Royale, which is what Chicas Locas was called back in the day. CR was the topless club and the club in the adjoining space was called The Fare. TF was fully nude.

Today, the space where The Fare was located appears to be empty, and the space where Chicas Locas is located looks like it hasn't been updated since the CR was in business.

I haven't been to CL at night, ever. But I do drop by from time to time and see what's happening. It is a very hit or miss club. The humongous parking lot next to the building is never full anymore. It used to feel safe to park over there; not so much anymore. The inside is still an impressive space, but they could definitely use some new furniture. I've always preferred the high back chairs to the low back chairs. That may be because of fond memories of the chair forts that can be built with the high backs.
