I was really unimpressed with Columbus...

I was really unimpressed with Columbus Gold, especially considering how much my friends seem to like it. I went on a rainy weeknight though, so maybe it was just a bad night. The club was about half full, with quite a few small groups, and a decent number of couples. I was definitely in the mood for a lap dance when I walked in the door, but after sitting down at a table with my $5 Sprite and sitting through some stage dances, I just didn't see any girls that I really wanted to get a dance from. The layout of the club was also not to my liking. This club has stages that are about a foot and a half off the floor. To get any personal attention from a dancer, you have to stand up at the edge of the stage with your tip. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't feel very comfortable with that arrangement. I prefer stages that are higher off the main floor, where you can sit right next to the stage and have the dancer come to you. I'm sure I'll try Columbus Gold again sometime, but based on my first experience, I can't recommend it. I'd suggest walking across the parking lot to Vanity, which is next door.
