I had a chance to get back to On The Border on a recent weeknight around 5:30 pm. It was near the end of the day shift; the night shift was starting to come on around 7 pm. There were around 20 patrons when I got there, with the number slowly increasing while I was there. There appeared to be around ten dancers when I arrived.

A few minutes after I arrived, one of the dancers approached me for a private dance. I declined since I had just arrived and wanted to see several of the dancers on the stage.

I spent around an hour watching, and tipping most of the dancers who rotated through the only operating stage, the one near the bar. The quality of the dancing varied, and only three or four patrons were at the rail. During this entire time no other dancer approached me for a dance, although I gave an extra tip to a couple whose dances I especially enjoyed at the rail. Most of them went from their regulars or boyfriends directly to the stage and, as soon as their tip walk was over, they went back to the same place. I saw very few make their way to the private dance area while I was there.
