Weeknight Drinks & Dances
I visited The Office after work twice in the last two weeks, and I was pleasantly surprised both evenings. Each visit was an early evening on a weeknight. No cover was charged at that hour, and happy hour (before 8) brought domestic brews down to $3 per bottle. There was a no-pressure casual atmosphere, and I felt entirely comfortable. In keeping with the club’s name, all the chairs other than the barstools are office chairs. The Office also sports a couple TVs behind the bar, an aquarium set into one of the walls, and a couple pool tables by the restrooms. There are two stages, but only one is ever used in the early evening. The lighting includes fairly standard neon bar signs, a few pastel spotlights, and colored ambient lighting on tippers row. The first night I visited, a rescue cat named Monica was strolling the floor. The bartender explained that the cat had “chosen them” just before she recently had her litter. Like I said, they’re laid back.
Both evenings I visited there were 5-6 dancers, with lineups ethnically mixed about 50/50. Refreshingly, The Office seems to have more than its fair share of cute, fresh, coed-demo dancers compared to the competition. Highlights included the petite platinum blonde spinners Kylie and Miami, a shapely blonde named Phoenix, and a long-legged, svelte brunette named Chloe.
I ended up getting a couple lap dances from Kylie the first visit, and from Chloe the second. Kylie’s dances were $30/dance, while Chloe only charged $20/dance. (I ended up so satisfied with Chloe’s dances that I tipped her an extra $20 anyway). The VIP dance booths include a plush couch and are secluded with a heavy curtain. There are signs warning customers there is no touching the dancers in the VIP. While I never give too much detail about VIP dances at a club within city limits, let me just say I was extremely satisfied with my experience, and I plan to repeat. I think The Office is a great place to grab a drink, watch some dancers after work, and occasionally get a few lap dances. While it’s a nice place to have locally, I wouldn’t classify it as a destination club.
