Saturday Afternoon - Slow but Fun

I'm not sure if this Saturday afternoon was out of the ordinary since I don't think I've ever been to HL at that time. But it was pretty slow with a lot of the dancers just sitting around back against the mirrored wall. I think this was mainly because most of the customers weren't getting dances. I sat at the bar most of the afternoon, opposite the mirror wall. Usually I'm at a table, but thought I'd try the bar for a change. I did have a couple dancers approach me at the bar for dances, but no where near the number that ask for dances when you're sitting at a table. What I learned sitting at the bar: if you're just wanting to check out the scene, have a drink and rarely get asked to get a dance then the bar is a great spot. You can also check out who's working and not have dancer after dancer ask to dance for you. I don't know about others, but I seem to get worn down if I'm at a table and almost inevitably say yes to a dancer that I absolutely should know better and have said no. I've written about a couple of these experiences in other reviews. So I guess the point of this review is to say that if you're like me and blow more $$ than you plan to spend, the bar at HL is a great spot to scope the scene first to pick the dancer you want.
