Choice has gone through an up...

Choice has gone through an up and a down in the eighteen months since I reviewed it. The short of it: I still miss what it once was, but it’s got a shot at being even better.

Since the beginning of 2005 the club went through some changes, most of them I hated. The worst thing was ripping out the veils of the three $30 "rooms" on the main floor lap dance area (actually one room and two curtained-off sections) and making the whole dang room $20. I was more than willing to pay the price for some privacy; otherwise I couldn't get freaky, even with the cameras peering silently. I went to Choice twice later that year, and the dances I had were virtually air. Just before this trip, a little birdie told me there was a massive bloodbath at the club triggered by some triflin' dancer there that's in tight with the owner. None of the girls I recommended from my previous review (Adrian, Justice and Janessa) are there now; in fact, on this trip I recognized only one.

I gave up on Choice, but I remembered I still had a few free passes on me. I'm cheap, so I went over the holiday. If you're able to get one of these passes, I hope you look a little closer than I did: It actually says 1/2 off, not free. Futhermore, although you only have to pay $5 then (at night on a Sunday at least), you don't get the complimentary drink. On balance, then, you only save $2 than if you went in cold. That pay-your-own-drink stipulation is a typical SC swindle, and that never puts me in a good mood. But then I sat down.
