I went to Aragon Bar on a Thursday, arriving just before 17:00. There was no cover charge. There are two big rooms in the building. The front room is like a normal sports bar with pool tables. The back room is the strip club. A bottle of Budweiser was $4 before 17:00. On the outside of the building, it says Happy Hour starts at 16:15 when the club opens, but that was not honored by the bartender. Between 17:00 and 19:00, bottles of beer are $3.50. Eventually, I noticed beer from the tap was only $2 in a pint sized mug, which was a good deal. I ordered a Budweiser from the tap. Well, it did not taste anything like Budweiser. It was sour and bitter, and the carbonation was not right. Maybe some crap beer (what I call craft beer) was being fed into the Budweiser tap or the tap lines haven’t been cleaned out in forever.

There is one large checkered stage coming off the back wall with two stationary poles. One dancer would perform at a time. Stage contact was permitted. Private dances are $20 per song. There are four semi-private lap dance booths with a regular chair, no couch. There are cameras and convex security mirrors over the booths. It seems the one booth that was closest to the stage was not covered well by the cameras or mirrors. I was able to get extracurricular fun in that particular booth, which I was not expecting at all in this club based on the set-up and prior reviews. Music is played off of a TouchTunes jukebox. The ATM only charges $3.50 per transaction, but it has a limit of $200 per swipe.

There were seven dancers working. Most of them seemed to have come down from the Twin Cities to work the weekend. I kind of read it as they were average-looking dancers in the Minneapolis and St. Paul clubs, but in a small town like Albert Lea with few local strippers, they could make a better payday due to scarcity. A 7 is probably the best you are going to find in this small market dive. Private dance mileage ranged from one dancer wanting me to make her orgasm to another dancer who was very cold and seemed annoyed when I cupped her boobs.
