This seems to be a club for regulars, so as such I will not spend much time on the facilities. When I first came to this club as a newcomer, I was made to feel welcome, but it was obvious that many of the dancers as well as the customers had been here for many years. It was still a comfortable and welcoming place for a new customer. Think "Cheers with Extras."
Today's news is that one of the long-time favorite dancers, Sandy, is gone. I do not know any of the circumstances surrounding her departure, but I know many of us wish her well and will miss her. She was always pleasant, helpful and a heck of a lot of fun. I always thought of her as the unofficial Mayor of DDTR. Make no mistake, this club is still definitely worth a visit, but it ain't the same.
FYI, rumor has it that Sandy has moved up the road to South Amboy.
