Rare visit

Decided to drop in on Oasis on my way back from Athens. (Wrote a review for Toppers for those interested) I haven't been to Oasis for a long time. The parking lot is free, large with plenty of good spots. They offer $5 valet but I didn't see anyone using it as I arrived and left. Went in around 3pm and was surprised to see how light the crowd was based on the number of cars present. I would estimate there was 20-25 customers and 15 dancers when I first arrived. The customers were mostly older, "local" white guys dressed in everything from long sleeve t shirts to buttoned sports coats. Most everyone was gathered around the outside edges of the room either at the "reserved bottle service" tables or around the two bars. Having read comments about non-regulars being run off from the "reserved tables" I decided to sit near the area where they set up the free buffet.

The biggest surprise this visit was the significant shift in type and quality of dancers. I had been hypothesizing that at least some of the former white spinners from Follies must have landed here at Oasis. Not the case unless they are dancing night shift. I was actually shocked when I realized that all visible dancers, including the two on the stage were black. In fact the first 1.5 hours were a combination of very large, out-of-shape white girls and large black girls. There were a few table dances going on at the reserved tables. There wasn't a cute one amongst them unit almost 2 hours in the visit when a cute blond got up on stage.. She seemed to be a little impaired because she didn't really dance too much. She was nice to look at though. She came and visited with me for a few minutes after her set. I inquired about pricing for the room and for her - $30-40 room, and $150 for her. Nothing specific was discussed and I didn't have a good sense that too much was on the table. I got a few dances but it felt like everything was being watched out in the middle of the floor like that.

The free buffet consisted of bar type food - hot wings, Swedish meatballs and fried mushroom and pickles. I didn't eat anything but one of the girls was and she said it was pretty decent.
