Tuesday Afternoon in May

With some time to kill without any afternoon appointments and no desire to go back to the office I decided to drop in at the Playhouse Lounge to see if there has been any changes from a visit of almost a year ago. In short, the dance lineup is consistent and the club website provides a mostly accurate schedule including times. I know that their are other descriptions but for anyone that doesn’t know there are 2 stages surrounded by a u-shaped bar that runs the length of the club. There are a number of private dance rooms, all with closing doors as well as a semi-private dance area located in the back of the club. Two stage runways. What I appreciate is each dancer takes a turn on the front stage for one song, rotates to the back stage for the second song and then circulates the room. With a mixture of Russian and Brazilian girls, some of the dancers have some mileage. That said, there are only a few that have seen better days and should probably find another profession. In making the tip run around the bar each girl will approach prospective clients with some contact. One can make an somewhat educated towards a dancer’s potential for extracurricular private dance contact by their demeanor and the action they provide which can be quite forward with promises of fulfillment in the private rooms. Basically with 5-10 dancers at any give time, there should be no reason to not to leave fully satisfied. The Playhouse is aways worth a stop if not a go-to destination.
