Tuesday Afternoon

I got finished with all my meetings a little early and decided to pop in to the Palace. I hadn't been there in over a year. About the only thing I recognize different was that there were poles on all three stages.

There were 10 - 12 dancers, ranging from a 6 - 8. No stunners, but no fugglies. I ordered my beer, $7 for a domestic beer. It didn't take long for a fairly attractive latino to come join me. We talked for awhile, and although she kept asking me to take her for a private dance, her rotation for the stage came up. She came back after her stage set and convinced me to buy her a high price cocktail, $14. So to recap, $5 cover charge, $1, tip, $7 beer, $1 tip, $14 drink for the dancer and $1 tip for a grand total of $29.

I started to pay attention to the length of songs and notice that the DJ was cutting them to less than 2 minutes. NO WAY I'm going to pay for a shorted dance, so I was doomed to just be a spectator. I actually would have stayed, but the club itself was very hot and stuffy, so I left to brave the San Antonio afternoon traffic.
