First time at "The Bird"
Had some time to kill in Lawrence and remembered seeing a big sign for this place on the way to a friends house once... so I drove in that direction and lo and behold, giant sign with an arrow that pointed me right to the club.
Walking in, pretty large space with a small bar, ample seating and a few different stage setups. Being the middle of the day, there were only a few dancers on, a couple blondes with implants, a couple more natural KS young MILF types, and a couple darker skinned girls. Range was from athletic and very clean cut to exotic and tattoo'd. Drink prices were fine (I just had a couple beers) and as advertised, you can see the stage from anywhere in the house. No cover during the day, from what I could tell.
The middle stage didn't have the best seating stage-side, a little tight, with a couple of weird cross-bars for the girls to lean on (in addition to standard poles). The dancers that I saw perform were all very attractive, though on stage they were somewhat low energy (can't blame them, there was only a handful of patrons in a big room, with almost nobody tipping). Had a nice conversation with a trim black dancer, beautiful curly hair, very caring eyes and smile. There was a tatted up brunette who was very sexy, I tipped her at the stage but she was in the back most of the time I was there. I didn't partake in any dances, but was told I could pay $10 for the worst no-contact lap dance of my life (her words... but I appreciate the honesty) or pay $10 for a wrist band and then $20 per song for more exciting, more private dances in the back. Good to know for next time!
