Thirty years and counting...

anyplace that's been around this long qualifies as an 'institution'...and many things have remained the same over the decades...the lineups are huge-a full rotation may take three hours, the accurately timed (a generous five minutes on the clock) semi-private LDs for a jackson are an excellent value, the two tiered seating arrangement-inner stage side and outer barside just works, girls and names are looped on a monitor and ordered from the DJ where you'll be given a number and called just like a deli...about a dime to enter and another seven for bottomless soft drinks...however, the quality of dancers has dropped off dramatically and there can be so few people in attendance (olden days were SRO) that it can feel downright peculiar-stageside seats are frequently empty..girls circling the outer ring were always few (EZ on your wallet) but now those who bother may even offer 'dollar' dances on the spot...the worst change IMHO is the almost total absence of light...now so dark and cave-like i tried entering the RR in the corner directly under the (offset) sign and through the wall itself...the actual door was to the left of the sign..nothing's changed inside the pisser either, you still have to go out and ask Daddy for the key to enter a mini-office for your more elaborate evacuations...
