Not Much Has Changed In A Year. How Does This Place Survive? It's Got Its Pluses But . . .
I visited recently. I stopped in about 3:30 pm on a Thursday. This is my first visit in a year or so. The place is still in business, inside looks great, but how does it survive?
There was a sign board outside. Big routine to get in, driver’s license check, jacket and bag go in a closet, greeter explains the rules, etc. Then he leads me inside into the EMPTY bar. Not a single other customer. 2 dancers are sitting and talking. As they see me, 1 gets up onto one of the little circular stages at the end of the four-seat bar. She’s good! Young, fit, very attractive, good dancer and she slowly gets naked over the first 3 songs. She does a couple more songs and stops by for a tip and chats for a bit. The 2nd dancer follows the first on to the stage but she’s doesn’t match my likes as well – too many tats mostly. After that, a 3rd dancer gets up, again no match for the 1st dancer. I’m there for maybe 40 minutes and no other customers come in. Ok, it’s a Thursday afternoon, not a Saturday night, but still. I’ve just left Camelot about three doors down the block. While it’s slow there too, that means about 10-12 other customers, not zero.
