Sad To Report It Is Closed
Several times in the last week I have driven past on my way home from work. The door was closed. That means it is not open of course. I then found out that it has been sold. Everybody who worked there was told that they had to close for 30 days for a "violation". But then construction guys came and started dismantling the club. I was also told that the new owner has kept the liquor license which is the most valuable part of the sale. That indicates it may reopen as a bar but will not reopen as a strip club. This is the end of an era. That shitty hole in the wall place has been around for the last 30 years since I've been in Los Angeles. But it had it's own vibe and if those lapdance booths could talk! It seems like it's been mismanaged of late and no longer very busy so it was inevitable. I met a lot of unique girls there for sure. Became real friends outside with some. Some were kool, mist were just money grubbers of course, a couple were outright dangerous.
All in all I had fun, it was like Cheers, everybody knew my name. That can be good or bad. After a while I remember when I walked in like an anonymous dude and just looked around and nobody came running over to do the Sit and Tip thing. Ti work for a dance (I wouldn't say never, but I didn't get led back there too much). Well, it is what it is. Legend has it that Ike Turner once owned the club.
