Ocean Review

Ocean is a full nude strip club in Bedford Park, IL. It was started up, at least in part, by the same people that ran Club O (closed now?) in Harvey, which was a sister club, but i don't know who runs it now. It's located in a residential area of the town which is unusual. There are no major roads or highways directly near the club. The speed limit on the road it's on is only 20 mph (school/child zone) for a bit then it's 30 mph for the last block or two. When you turn into the club entrance, you are directed to a mandatory valet which was $6 that night. Once you enter the club there is a further cover charge of $5, which might get more expensive later in the night. It has been over a couple years since i last visited Ocean (had a very mediocre visit the last time).

The actual club itself is very large (one of the largest i've been in) and spacious and looks like it might have once been a warehouse (not whorehouse, mind you) or something. The club is still quite new (just a little over 2 years) and the design is quite fancy and modern with a water based/ocean theme befitting the name of the club. The layout of the entire club is like a giant oval. When you walk into the club, there will be a large bar area toward your left at about 8 to 9 o'clock from the club entrance (and the club is shaped kind of like a circular clock with 6 o'clock being where you walk into the club). There will also be a seated lobby type area (empty when i was there) at 6 to 7 o'clock. There will also be another nearly identical bar at about 3 to 4 o'clock to your right as well. But only the one bar was being used and was where most of the patrons were sitting. At about 9 and 3 o'clock are the restrooms. Yes, there are two sets of them and they both are quite large, around 10 person capacity. Overkill, IMO. The troll was only at the 9 o'clock restroom and i did try both of them and they were very clean so maybe no troll necessary.

From 10-2 o'clock (still describing the clock layout), along the outer perimeter, there are about 10 or so sheer curtained suites with dual tv screens right in front of the curtains of almost every suite. I thought that was a weird location to put screens. I guess these are the VIP/champagne rooms. I don't think any were used the entire time i was there. There are also numerous projectors being shot on the walls above the bars and suites playing mostly sporting events. There's also VIP seating in this side of the club, in front of the suites. For a very large club, despite being able to seat well over 200 customers, the space wasn't used very efficiently, largely because of the pool that takes up much of the space in the club.
