Used To Be Great

This club used to be THE club for the urban scene. It's been in a ton of songs, music videos, etc. Unfortunately that's in the past and probably won't be back.

The club is right off the highway and has a large parking lot. It used to have someone who would sell great food next to the lot, but he wasn't there when I went. The club itself is huge like Tootsie's. They had 2 lines outside, regular and VIP, manned by 4 doormen in decent suits. I took this to mean it was packed inside and a good night to be had like years before. When I got inside, it barely had people in. And this was on a Friday night.

The place was clean and I gave them extra vibe points for that, especially for a club their size. There are clubs that are much smaller that can't seem to stay even halfway clean. The DJ played good trap music, but not enough of the real underground that they used to and most urban clubs do. I only heard him when he was announcing the next dancer, so that was appreciated. The dancers were a hit or miss which is disappointing because this place used to have some of the finest black dancers. Some of the girls that night had pretty faces with nice, curvy bodies. Some were too slender. And some were very unattractive. For the most part, the hustle was too strong and desperate for me to enjoy.
