Left Longview, TX and spent the night in Tyler, TX. The next morning I spent couple hours trying to locate the strip clubs and gave up and proceeded to Austin. I arrived at Sugar's at 6:30PM, Friday, June 2, 2006. I evidently beat the cover charge time and got in free. The club is moderately large with lots of mirrors and colored lights. It has two stages which have dancers on them at all times. Dancers do sets of 2 songs on the main stage and rotate to the satelite stage for 2 more. All dances are done topless. I'd rate the dancers between 6-9. There were about 15 dancers present at the time. The club is kind of set off in two parts, but full dinners and sandwiches can be had in either one. White linen tablecloths for the back part of the club. Good DJ announcing the dancers and encouraging tips for them, as well as LDs. Security and management well dressed as should be for this type of club. I first sat a a table near the main stage, but after waiting 10 minutes for a beer, (it was somewhat crowded at the time) decided to go to the bar (far back wall) and get it myself. Cost $2.75 for longnecks. Went and sat at a table close to the exit. Dancer Melody with long dishwasher blonde hair (rated a 6) a bit chubby, came to my table. She didn't bug me for a drink or dance and just conversed for awhile. I asked about LDs and was told they were $20 but done out in the open. I inquired about private dance areas and was told that there were secluded booth type areas but didn't provide that much privacy (after seeing them), since they were off of the main room. She didn't know the prices for LDs in the the booth areas, but advised that they had champaigne rooms (VIP area, unknown location) ranging from $100 to $500 for 30 minutes to an hour. I took Melody up on one LD in the back section of the club which was less crowded. Right at the beginning of the dance (topless), I immediately detected her foul body odor and even though she grinded well on me, all I was thinking was getting the dance over with and getting the hell out of the club. Besides I had more clubs to locate in Austin. Overall, this is an upscale type club nicely decorated especially for bachelor parties and business meetings. I departed the club at 7:10PM.... spraying myself with cologne in the car!!! I rate this club at 8, discounting my too close visit with Melody. OH! Did I mention????? I hit Austin on a very bad weekend, as they were having a BIKER meet in town. I knew this was going to be a very short stay in Austin. On to The Yellow Rose.
