I Was Lied To

I was driving route 6 back from the Providence area at about 7:00 pm on a Wednesday evening. It was snowing lightly in the Willimantic area. I was a within a few minutes from Ultra Violet so as bad as the club often is, I figured I would call and see if they had many girls working. The doorman answered and told me there were a couple of girls in. So if figured I would stop and grab a beer and see if there was anything worth seeing since my last visit 6 months ago.

When I pulled in the parking lot had quite a few cars in it. That was a good sign. No cover upon entry, now that was a bad sign. Grabbed a seat at the bar, service was quick by a fairly good looking bartender that I have never seen before. I counted 9 PL’s at the bar and girl dressed in street clothes. There were no girls on the stage. After I waited about 10 minutes I asked the doorman when the girls were the dancers are. He said “we don’t have any yet tonight”. I told him I called and was told there were two girls. He pointed at the bartender and the girl in street clothes. Yea, that is real funny!

I said W.T.F. I put my beer on the table and walked out. I hate being lied to. I should know better that to have even stopped. This place and Lucky’s (aka Rockvenus, aka Sweethearts, aka Kahoots) are always the same, you go in hoping for something good and leave pissed off both because there never is something good and you still went in knowing better. But I did it to myself, I did not ask when I walked in so they stiffed me out of a beer, so who is to blame? I am.
