Almost Like Old Times

I first started going to GGR around 2005 and back then this place was like a virtual Playboy mansion. It is nowhere near as good anymore and many of you have expressed the same opinion. Back in the day there would always be at least 3 or 4 drop dead gorgeous women on shift who also had personalities that would melt your heart. Not only has the quality of the dancers gone down considerably by way of the excessive tattooing, flat-chestedness and just a lack of physical appeal, but the attitude has fallen off even more.

Most of the dancers hide out in the dressing room and pray that they aren't called to the VIP room (with the exception of Sienna who NEVER goes away and really should) and trips around the bar offering dollar dances are almost unheard of these days. Case in point: a guy sitting a few stools away from me requested a dance from Cici and she had to be paged 7 times before she finally got her ass out to VIP room. I am estimating she probably made him wait for about 45 minutes. I have had similar experiences over the past several years, but fortunately this time was different.

I got a couple of dances from Aspen who met me in the VIP room within about 3 minutes of my request and she was personable and did a pretty good job. A little bit later I would reconnect with the beautiful Zoe whom has been off an on at GGR for the past decade or so. Seeing her brought me back to the so-called glory days of the club. I spent some time with her in the public lap dance area and then she came and sat with me at the bar for awhile and had a really nice conversation. She recognized me as soon as she saw me, but didn't remember my name which is totally understandable. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with her and we were even joking about how neither of us has ever been married and it is because we are both afraid of commitment. By the time I left, I felt a lot better than had been the case the last half dozen times or so I stopped by this club and I would say that this is the best establishment of its type in central NJ, but that is almost like saying that Mussolini was a nicer dictator than Stalin or Hitler. IMHO, the entire strip club scene is nowhere near what it once was but, for one brief moment on this Saturday evening, it felt like 2008 again.
