Pleasantly Surprised

I was in St. Louis this past weekend so I got a chance to visit the recently opened Club Onyx Friday evening. The club is actually located in Centreville, IL which was about a 20 minute drive from the downtown St. Louis hotel that I stayed at. I arrived around 11 and there was plenty of parking available in the lot outside of the club (no charge to park on this night). Security is on point, you have to go through a metal detector followed by a brief pat down before entering. I then paid the $10 cover and was inside.

The layout was nice, four stages the center of the club, couches along one wall and tables with comfortable chairs along the other wall. I went to one of the two bars and ordered a Red Bull for $5 and grabbed a seat at one of the tables. There wasn’t a big crowd and there was a laid back atmosphere which I liked. They have hookah available at he tables for $40 and they have serve food as well, although I didn’t try either on this trip.

The majority of the dancers were black, although I did see two latinas and one white dancer. There were a variety of body types ranging from tiny spinners to super thick fake asses so there was something for everyone’s tastes. They have chairs surrounding the stages so I went up to one of the stages to tip and got a nice little dance right at the stage for a few singles.
