Slow Friday, Perhaps?

I had been meaning to check out this club for several months because it has been rated quite highly relative to the clubs in the tri-state (NY, NJ, PA) area. Perhaps I need to come visit again on a better night, or perhaps I simply did not get the appeal of the place.

The club is quite basic. It's a small building, nothing particularly appealing about it from the outside. The inside is quite the same. It's basically a big rectangular room which takes up the whole building. Inside the rectangular room is a rectangular stage, surrounded by a rectangular non-alcoholic bar. Buying a drink (i had fucking orange juice) is mandatory. It would be one thing if the drink was good. I think this was just a fucking minute-maid OJ or something, for which I paid $7. It's also quite dark inside, with only the center stage mildly lit. There is a separate area for lap dances, and what I presume is the VIP section behind a set of double doors. I recall that the bathrooms were equally lackluster. All-in-all, the "vibe" of this club is nothing special... in fact, it might be special in a bad way... like a mentally handicapped friend that you consider "special." haha.

I did not stay long as I was only in the area for work and had a 2 hour drive home, so I stayed until about 8:30pm. Perhaps it doesn't get fun until 11pm like Platinum Plus in Allentown. Regardless, it was quite tame. The customers were mostly elderly or middle aged men. I myself am in my late-20s, so I felt a little out of place. I am guessing from the reviews that I departed the club before the night really got started. The dancers, IMO, were mildly appealing, though I like the thin, petite, victoria's secret type of girl, not thin-by-American-obese-standards. Needless to say, I did not pay for any dances or VIP.
