Sinclair's Review

Alexander’s Lounge had not been reviewed in over three years, so I went to check it out. I went on a Friday night and made a return visit on Saturday night. The club is in downtown North Tonawanda just a half block from the Erie Canal. Parking is on the street. The entrance is off of Sweeney Street and you walk down several steps into a half basement. There is never a cover charge, but there is a sign saying there is a two drink minimum. There is a small bar to your immediate right as you enter. Tables and chairs take up most of the space straight ahead. A small stage about two feet off the ground with one spinning pole on its left side occupies the right wall of the club. On the far end of the room are three small rooms for couch dances. The strip club is small and usually gets packed after midnight.

Sincweisers were $6. A soda in a large glass of ice was $4.50. Lap dances were $25 for one song, $75 for fifteen minutes, or $125 for a half hour. The half hour includes two free drinks. The lap dance rooms do have cameras, but I did not get the impression anyone watched them. Contact was two-way during lap dances. If you get the fifteen or thirty minute option, but sure to set a stopwatch on your phone, so the dancer does not short you on the time.

Alexander’s is a topless club, but dancers must wear pasties. On Friday night, there were 4 white dancers, 1 black dancer, and 2 Native American dancers. On Saturday night, there were 2 white dancers, 2 black dancers, 3 Native American dancers, and 1 Puerto Rican dancer. With there being a Tuscarora and a Seneca reservation in the area, a few of the dancers are First Nations. For the most part, dancers were 2-6 on my strict scale. Giana and Rose were the exceptions. I’d rate them as an 8.5 and a 9, respectively. It kind of surprised me that they worked at a dive titty bar. Both of them have the looks and skills to work at any strip club in the United States and make bank. I guess they prefer being the top attractions at Alexander’s Lounge versus being just another topshelf dancer somewhere like Pharoah’s.
