Pretty Passionate ...

Haven't felt the itch for a while, but on a recent Wednesday during a business trip (early March), it hit hard. I hit Visions one night, and was really disappointed. The French Quarter is for drunk tourists who like to spend $500 for nothing. That left She She's and Passions, so I thought I'd check out the latter.

Neighborhood--yeah, sketchy. But that's relative. I wouldn't walk back to a car parked four blocks away at 2.m., but the club itself is so well lit, so close to a major highway and so "guarded" overall (there's a brightly-lit gas station next door, too) that I wouldn't honestly worry about anything else.

On this Wednesday, I paid an old guy at a booth $10 after showing him my ID. There was an obnoxious drunk guy eating take-out and chatting with the door attendant, who made some comment about "eating ass" to me. Not a big deal but ... annoying.
