You Can Have A Good Time Here, But You Have To Be Patient,
The staff really doesn't try to sell this place. I entered and was promptly read the rules: the cover is $10, there is no alcohol, and there is a 1 drink minimum. Yes, it was like being schooled. I went to the bar, bought my six dollar Red Bull and surveyed the joint. The place hasn't changed in the last few years. It's always clean enough, but then they keep the lights low enough that you really can't tell. At some places, the bartender or waitstaff are as attractive as the dancers. Not here. Not just in looks either, the waitress was dressed in denim and red flannel.
There were eight customers when I arrived and never more than maybe 15 at a time the whole night. The club is not large, but it never seemed active or energetic. Except for the lap dance area, this could be just a sleepy local tavern with women occasionally getting naked. The DJ was pretty unobtrusive, basically announcing the beginning of a set, the last song of the set, and giving a standard pitch for dances at the end of the set. The music was loud enough to make conversation an effort.
Now, if an 8 ounce soft drink is six bucks and the cover is ten bucks, the dancers had better be good. There were no outright unattractive dancers. All were at least a 5. Most were girl next door type white brunettes with average figures, apparently in their twenties. Milan was a nice exception. She's African America, with a voluptuous chest. Whatever their appearance, except for the dancer on stage it was hard to find one available for a lap dance. As the evening went on, I figured out that at any given moment, most of the dancers were either outside smoking or taking prolonged breaks in the ladies room or downstairs. Sometimes they would pass the bar on the way to or from the smoking area, dressed for March weather. The best way to get a dancer's attention was to wait for her set and talk to her at the stage.
