Local Bar With No Girls At 3:45 In The Afternoon = Waste Of Time

I was driving up the I-95 corridor and after visiting three clubs in Bridgeport I figured I was on a roll so in had one more in me. I figured I would try one in Groton. There were two choices Mynx and Rose’s. There are on the same street 1/10th of a mile from each other. I figured I would try the one that would be less crowded. This was a mistake.

I don’t know much about this club as it was my first visit. I parked the car with no parking charge. I walked in with no cover charge. The bar is right in front of you as you walk in. The stage is in the back on the right side of the bar. In a large area to the left of the bar there are a few pool tables. I had I feeling that this would be a quick visit so I ordered a water and sat at the bar to survey the surroundings. The stage was pitch black. I asked the bartender if there were any girls on yet and received a on word answer “NO”. Nothing like the typical club lie of “they are on there way in”. There did not appear to be a dance area, but the back of the club was dark so I cannot be sure.

The four people at the were certainly locals and regulars because even though they were not sitting together they all knew each other. At this point I was thinking that there was no reason to stay any longer. Fortunately, as I was thinking that I got a phone call which gave me the perfect reason to convince myself to depart. I would probably try again in the evening just to see what the place is really like, but never again during the day.
