A Trip Down Memory Lane

I used to visit this establishment periodically about 20 years ago when it was called Sensations. I found myself back in the area with a buddy on Saturday evening and decided to stop by. The club atmosphere is fine -- well lit and clean, with a decent-sized stage behind the bar. We arrived around 8 pm and there were about five other customers there. We were greeted by a friendly bouncer who directed us to a very attractive bartender. She took the cover charge (only $5 because it was still early). She then walked on stage and began to dance. She has exactly the type of look I like -- dark hair, thin build, slightly smaller than average up top, and a very nice smile.

I thought this would be a good sign for the rest of the night. Unfortunately, that was the only true highlight. She didn't dance again during the 90 minutes we sat at the bar, and only one other dancer took the stage (a decent-looking girl of Puerto Rican descent). She danced twice while we were there, with about 20 minutes passing between her dances). Otherwise, the stage was empty. We saw two other girls arrive around 8:30, and club staff told us rhey were in the back "getting ready," but we never saw any other sign of them.

After an hour and a half sitting at the bar -- with a total of two girls who performed a combined three dances -- we headed out. Again, the club vibe seemed OK, and the two girls who danced -- especially the bartender -- were worth watching. Seemed like the other two we saw walk in would've been, too. Granted we arrived early, but for a Saturday night, there just was nowhere near the activity to justify staying longer than we did.
