First Time, Won't Be The Last

There is a reason why the Flight Club is one of the most reviewed clubs on TUSCL. It is a great club. If you live in the Detroit area, or visit the area often, you need to visit the Flight Club at least once. Since a visit to the Flight Club was something I had not done yet, I decided it was time to cross it off my bucket list.

I arrived at the club around 8:30 on a Friday evening. Valet was $8 + tip. Coat check was $3 + tip. I am pretty sure there is supposed to be a cover charge ($15 per previous reviews), but I was not asked to pay it. There was a decent sized crowd for early on a Friday evening. Most customers were sitting at the bar or in booths. Since I club solo, I opted to take a table near the main stage. A beer was $9 + tip, which is a bit expensive, but I am sure there are clubs out there that charge more than that.

This club is a stage raining club. The main stage is in the center of the club with a pole on one end and a staircase on the other. Dancers would enter the stage via the staircase and dance on the main stage for a few songs before dancing on each of two side stages located right along the booth seating. The fifth and final stage in the rotation was at the bar. It turns out, I picked a very good place to sit. I was seated at the table near the main stage right in front of the stair case where dancers exit the stage. This meant that every dancer would have to walk right by me as they moved from the main stage to a side stage.
