Very Disappointed

I am just returning to Philadelphia after spending 20 years in the Washington DC area. I decided to check out a few strip clubs in the Philadelphia area after reading the reviews in tuscl. Since I reside in Montgomery County I thought that I would pop into Double Visions and check this spot out right before the impending storm the area was to have the following day on Wednesday. After arriving, I sat at the bar and ordered a drink. The bartender was friendly and the drinks were reasonably priced. The setting is actually just a large bar with dancers performing inside of the bar area with a pole in the middle.The ambience is "folksy" and would classify it as a local watering hole.

The dancers were average looking at best and their dancing skills were subpar to me. I found their sets to be relatively short. After they danced the dancers would come around and ask for "donations" between their breasts. Since I was new, I figured that the dancers would come around and talk to me to develop rapport and possibly ask for a couch dance. To my surprise, none of them approached me at all! One black dancer, who was wearing a neo light green gown, went around the bar and greeted her regular customers and completely ignored me. I found this to be quite odd, as I am also African American. I don't want to play the race card, however I did not feel comfortable in this bar and noticed that the dancers were communicating with everybody except me.

However I did notice that a few of the white patrons seemed to not be happy and left after a brief visit as well. Since I took Lyft to get there I felt the need to stay, hoping that things would improve, but they did not. I left after about an hour and was extremely disappointed. I have been to a few clubs within the Philadelphia metro area and consider this one the worst. I will not be back and don't encourage anyone to go there as well!
