First Time In A While

Sunday nights are my usual strip club night when I go out. I find it to be the perfect mix of not too busy like the weekend, but it still brings out enough dancers for me to have some fun. I’ve become somewhat of a regular at Arnie’s, but tonight I decided to make a trip down to Jimmys in Chicago Heights. I used to come here a lot more often, but have stopped because I didn’t feel like driving 30 minutes when I have another club 10 away.

Now, this is my first time back since their rebranding. They’ve turned into a more urban club where there is more focus on tipping out on the floor an opposed to private dances. They have bottle service and bottle specials, along with themed party’s and what not. All of the dancers we’re black with the exception of one white girl (or very light skinned Hispanic). I used to love this place because it felt like a dive bar with strippers. It definitely feels like more of a strip club now, for better or for worse.

I pull into the parking lot and park near the door. As I’m collecting my things a 60 year old crack head that looks like Morgan Freeman comes up to my window. I lower it and ask her what she wants, “I’m hungry can I get some money?” No. “Well.....do you want a date?” No. “You ain’t gonna get nothing in there honey” she says as she walks away. So, the night is already off to an interesting start as I walk in the club and present my id. No cover. The bar is my preferred seating area, but I see that there is no room, so I walk all the way to the back of the bar and order a drink, hoping that in the time it takes me to get a beer a seat at the bar will open up.
