Back To Beginnings In Soflo

Back in the early 90's, I started winter vacations in Florida. Diamond Dolls was one of the first places I clubbed down in SoFlo. So when a TUSCL buddy suggests DD, I said sure. Walking in after paying the $2 parking fee, after passing the door girl, there used to be booths on the left as you came in, the first bar is still on the right, Steve, my bartender was fast and good. I enjoyed my usual Coca Cola (tm) for $5. When Papi came in, he asked if it was as bad as the one at Porthole Pub. I told him that it was stronger than the worst Coke I've ever had at Porthole Pub.

We got a table near the back and I got one of their happy hour specials, a chicken and rice plate which was tasty with their teryaki (sp) sauce for $5. The main stage is still in the middle of the room and several fine Latinas commanded your attention with their bounteous plastic breast surgeries. The second bar is down at the back and in the wall at the back there were about 6-8 curtained booths. Papi and I discussed various tidbits about clubbing and watched the babes.

I've gotten dances in the booths at DD. With the right dancer you'll come out smiling.He got one and took her back to a booth, returning with a smile on his face. I started to get tired after a long day out in the sun and being ill, I said my goodbye and headed out. Would I come back ?? Absolutely ! A good club is reason enough to come back
