Weekday Afternoon Fun
Been here several times during my work lunch hour and here’s a quick recap of today’s visit. For all the splashy ads they pay for on all the cabs, the actual location is thankfully quite understated. It’s simply an awning and a door. There’s always a doorman and today was no different. As you enter, you go down a set of stairs and a $3 coat check is mandatory. There’s a happy hour from noon to I think 3PM and your first drink is 2-for-1 (not sure if that includes non beer/soda as I always get a soda — $10, btw).
FD markets itself as an upscale club and it doesn’t disappoint. It’s got a nice big bar with two dancers and a very large stage with two more. The bathroom is quite clean and has a full time attendant making sure it stays that way. The cologne/mints are a nice touch, but expected at a club like this.
Today I took a seat at a table center stage hoping to run into my CF. There is normally a good mix of girls at this hour of varying ethnicities & shapes, but I’d say generally the club is known for its blonde spinners. Solid 7s and 8s with an occasional 8.5 (I rate harshly). I spent most of the time nursing my two drinks and watching the stage. One girl (Eliza?) was particularly good at pole tricks and I tipped her a few bucks. Declined anyone who approached with a quick “I am waiting for someone already” which I think the dancers appreciated rather than waste their time.
