The Last Round-up

When I last went to this club, I left wondering if it would survive. As I said in that review, such a nicely appointed club had no dancers and only a bartender/manager who kept promising that entertainers were on the way. I had heard that Cowgirls survived through the Christmas and New Year's holidays but started going down again. I decided to give this club another visit last Wednesday when I was in Lawton. Well, it appears that Cowgirls has gone through their last round-up. The sign wasn't lit at the driveway but in all fairness it was still light out due to daylight savings time be in force.

There weren't any cars in the parking lot but that had been the case the last time. As I pulled up near the building, I saw that it appeared to be dark. I parked, walked over, and pulled on the door. It was locked. There were no postings on the door and no indication of any status. My only conclusion is that the owner/manager couldn't keep entertainers and decided to cut his losses. Thus, Lawton is down to one club. I will post a new review of it shortly.
