Kinda Sad

I stopped in at the Gold Club in a recent Friday evening. Now, it wasn't midnight, closer to 9pm, but the place was dead. I've noticed this in general at this place the last few times I've been. It's the only club in downtown Philly, so I tend to stop in when I have a bit of time, it's never a place I'm dying to get to. But it'd be nice if you could at least see some hot ladies and enjoy yourself. It was so dead this last Friday visit that I felt uncomfortable. There were a couple of weirdos sitting at the very tiny bar, so I took a seat in the small field of chairs. These are squeezed in and setup so poorly that you are never really comfortable. There were about 2 other gentlemen sitting in the crowd with me, and at first there wasn't even a dancer on stage. Finally they started circulating the 4 girls who were working to dance.

As for the ladies, they were pretty weak, one was friendly and probably a 5, the rest were below that level and didn't seem interested in pretending to want a tip. I talked to the friendly one and she was the only reason I stayed for more than 10 minutes. It was just a sad scene. They even charge you $10 at the door for this. I think I maybe spent $25 on a drink, the door and a couple of tips. I would've gladly spent more at another club, but this place was bumming me out.
