At Least The Beer Is Cheap
Decided to stop by Carl's while in the area for a meeting. I ended up checking out the afternoon and night shifts. Good mix of customers and dancers from all walks of life during the day. At night the place is a Hispanic bar complete with Spanish music and an occasional rap song mixed in. Dancers on the day and night shift all expect $20 a dance which is just ridiculous. If they're having a slow night, or you hit it off with them, some will offer you 2 dances or a massage for $20.
The only reason to come here is that there is no $5 cover before 8 PM. But even when I came back later in the evening after 9 the doorman didn't charge me because I made friends with the bartender. You also can't beat the $3 Heineken lite cans.
I ended up not getting a single dance during either visit. The girls on the day shift were either out of shape, fat, homely or old. One of them, an older Italian dancer I met on a previous visit, pushed hard for the 2 for $20. I just couldn't bring myself to pull out a $20. She was telling me how she could no longer work at night due to all the Hispanic customers calling her names and hating on her. I shared a similar experience I had during my last visit with her. I even detailed it in a previous review. When she finally left I ordered another beer and talked to the bartender for the rest of my visit. I eventually took off and headed to Bobby's where I had a great time.
