One Bright Spot

After a more successful (and costly) trip to AW than I expected, I decided to make the drive up to Castaways. Parked at the edge of the building close to the swinger spot next door and walked in. Cover is 10, but I bought a 45 minute dance for 90 so the cover was waived. Basically, I bet 80 that I could find a girl worthy of a 45 minute dance. My first time in the place, but I was looking for Ember based on previous positive commentary on here.

Place isn't much to run home about, and the high ceilings make it look bigger than it really is. There's what I would call a lounging area to the left. Seems like a place to go if you want to chill for a minute away from the club atmosphere. The bathrooms are over there, along with some vending machines and a kitchen type area with a microwave and a full size refrigerator. It has normal lighting, unlike the rest of the club. The rest of the place is 'club' dark. One TV on the left wall, which was oddly on The Weather Channel. The tables look like the tables you'd see at a restaurant where you can eat outdoors: a Chipotle or somewhere along those lines. Chairs at the tables were the same. Chairs by the really high stage were regular folding chairs. Stage is at the back of the club, DJ booth is to the left of it, pool table is to the right of it. The LD areas are basically booths made out of plywood and surround the entry way at the front of the club. There's also an upstairs area with a couch...oh, and two fake trees in a corner where hardly anyone can see them. Anyway, decor isn't what anyone wants to read about...oh, the music varied in genre depending on dancer.

Speaking of dancers...when I walked past the entry way into the club, I saw that my prospects of winning that bet were slim. Also slim were most of the girls. I mean rail-thin A cup types who would've blown away if they were outside with the high winds we had last night. With the exception of four girls, everyone in there could've used a sandwich. One thing I noticed in my Cabin visits was that the girls were either really skinny or really 'not skinny'. Same thing here. The four exceptions were a 'not skinny' blonde, an AA who was actually on the skinny side herself, one blonde who sat with one group for about the first hour I was there and then left, and one redhead I didn't really see until later.
