Philadelphia was one of the areas hit by the most recent "bomb cyclone," which – apparently – closed some strip clubs for the night. On this Friday, after finding both Creekside Cabaret in Colmar and La Pearl/Outer Space Club in Philly closed up tight (damn!), I found myself driving near Atlantis at about 10:00, so I thought I'd give them a try. If you've ever been there, you know that their door is really kind of hidden away, and there was no clue from the outside if they were open or not. I half expected a locked door, but my gentle tug was rewarded. I asked the door man if they had girls working, and he said there were about 10. I showed him my hotel room key and he waived the cover; after a walk through the metal detector and a quick pat-down, I was in.

There were about 10 patrons on stools around the bar – and no girls visible except the two bartenders. Bottled water was $5.75, which is high for the area, so I assume alcoholic drinks are high as well. It took forever, but one by one the girls started coming out from the back. All were AA and all were dance-worthy to me. In the past here, I've only done $30 nude dances in the private rooms, but I wanted to try the regular communal lap dance room where the dances are $20 topless and, from what I've read on TUSCL, good mileage can be had. I figured that with the low numbers in the club, our chances of being alone in there were pretty good. I was right. I did two dances with one girl with so-so results, and then two dances with another, who gave me a hand on song number two. I was in and out in about an hour. This places is hit or miss, but it's usually a hit for me. I will return.
