I haven’t been to BJ’s in a long time and I wanted to get there to day shift as part of revisiting old clubs. BJ’s is a neighborhood bar in an area with some housing nearby but also old industrial Minneapolis, a mile or so north of downtown.

There was a time when a trifecta of attractions existed within a block. Stand Up Franks was a bar that served the stiffest drinks in the Twin Cities. I think they got the name from the bar being small and having limited seating so customers mostly had to stand up. However, due to the stiff drinks, barstools would open up pretty regularly as drunken patrons fell off them. King of Wings was on the same block and served nothing but very spicy chicken wings. Then there was BJ’s for some titty viewing after a belly full of chicken wings and Windsor 7’s without the 7up. Alas, only tits have endured so BJ’s is the last of the trifecta.

There is free parking both on the street and in the lot, which is a nice improvement over the downtown clubs. Minneapolis doesn’t give a shit about the north end so they haven’t bothered banning automobiles there yet. The club is pretty much how I remembered it. There is seating at tables in front of the bar, bar stools at the same side of the bar, and a stage with no seating behind the bar. If you want to see tits up close, you have to stand single file at the narrow end of the stage behind the bar with your tip and the stripper will come to you. You won’t see pussy here because the club serves alcohol.
