I spent my college years in the area and loved the Mons. This may sound overly grandiose, but I really do see the place as an important cultural signpost in today's society with its restrictions levied by religion and political posturing. Obviously Mons Venus has had more than its share of adversity, but it's still fucking standing all these years later, and there are still gorgeous naked girls you can touch. I love the fact that staff (non-dancers) and on-site management are all women. No gorillas in tuxedos here. I've never seen a need for one. The patrons generally behave, perhaps due in some part to the lack of alcohol, but I'd rather forgo the booze if I get freedom from drunk assholes and the huge tuxedoed men one then needs to control them. So hooray for Mons Venus, and long may she live.
