Sinclair's Review

I went to Cheeks on a Friday night around 22:00. The cover charge is $7. The cover is also honored across the street at Wise Guys on Friday and Saturday nights, which is under the same ownership as Cheeks. A Sincweiser was $6. The club was a ghost town when I arrived at prime time on a Friday night. I was the only customer and was immediately swarmed by the dancers like vultures. There are two stages. One is in the corner at the front of the club.

The other is along the front wall closer to the entrance. This second stage was the one that dancers would take turns dancing on. A square bar sits along the back wall and that was where all the dancers were hanging out on their smartphones. A shower stall for shower shows was to the right of the bar. The music is selected by dancers off of a jukebox, and they seemed to solely play hip hop and R&B. Smoking is permitted and widely practiced inside.

There were five dancers working. Three were black, one was white, and one was possibly mixed. Sunshine was a short, fat black dancer who looked to be in her mid-forties. Babydoll was a chunky, black dancer straight out of the ghetto. Princess was black, had dreadlocks, and exhibited stretch marks, proving she had popped out at least one kid. She was pushy and seemed angry. Skittles looked like a mix of maybe black and Hispanic. She wore a sweatshirt covering her saggy tits with eraser tip nipples. She acted very strange; I would guess she was on drugs or bipolar. The best looking dancer was Mercedes, possibly a 6. She was white with straight black hair, but she talked like she was black, and something seemed off. I would guess she is on some type of narcotic.
